| Volvo Owners Club Annual Bash - we'll be there! |
This weekend (16/17 June) is the VOC's annual bash and "BKV".
- We'll be there with several pallets of "stuff" that we're giving away at daft prices, for instance
- Brand new: 340 door & tailgate glass; V70 front wing; P1800 RHR wing; XC90 DVD player
- 140 headlight washer kits
- Badges, calipers, bumpers
- Lots of really nice components that someone should save from the scrap heap (which is where it'll go if it isn't bought)
- And we'll have our 1970 144 London - Cape Town car on show there
- Although I'm saddened that its Namibian dirt will get washed off in the weekends inundation, hence the two photos!
- As for the workshop
- James' 123GT came to us with oil loss and dreadful brakes, both nicely sorted
- Richard's 122S has it's new engine ready for Peking-Paris, plus new calipers & MoT. It'll receive our 80litre fuel tank in the next fortnight.
- Simon's 760 Turbo is still in storage, although we take it out occasionally to keep the mice from nesting in the turbo - lovely car
- My daughters' spaceframe "LoCost" Volvo has now received it's steering rack, and I have to source a steering shaft with UJ's before rigging the pedal box and firing it up!
- Our 850 is now running LPG reliably, after a nightmare of failing vaporisers. We haven't yet identified exactly how much we're saving per tank of fuel, but it's around £40.
Hope to see you in Nottinghamshire at the VOC show...
